NO Objectives

    1. The learner will be able to define what nitric oxide is, and what physiologic effects it has on the pulmonary vasculature.
    2. The learner will state the indications for nitric oxide use.
    3. The learner will be able to list various contraindications to nitric oxide therapy.
    4. The learner will describe the required equipment for delivery of nitric oxide.
    5. The learner will be able to list possible complications of inhaled nitric oxide.
    6. The learner will be able to briefly describe persistent pulmonary hypertension.
    7. The learner will be able to briefly describe respiratory distress syndrome.
