L. Gregg
Dr. Gregg has been on
faculty since 1981 and teaches respiratory care procedures and
mechanical ventilators. Both courses have labs which is where
she spends most of her time. When she's not in lab she's on
the computer doing this. Part of "this" turned out
to be the first online CEU program for respiratory care approved
by the AARC in 1997. The CEU program provides respiratory care
practitioners with AARC approved Category 1 continuing
education credits.
Our
Students
Beth Gregg also teaches
an education class which has a project as one of the requirements.
Katie Tull '95 video taped the movies, interviewed Chad Jackson
'93 and started the review of the literature for the Hyperbaric
Oxygen Therapy module. It took Gregg a year to learn how
to put all the pieces together. The HBO document is also linked
to the interdisciplinary
Case Study 5: Burn Patient. Thanks go to Todd Jinks, Dustin
Lehnert, and Eric Pauls (all Class of '96) for their help in
presenting this case study for the SAH Grand Rounds. There will
be more case studies online as additional continuing education
programs are developed.
