Introduction Activity - Stress Reponses and Health Promotion Behaviors

Objective: Will provide an opportunity for students to start considering and assessing their own level of wellness.

Instructor: Tonya Hinman

Directions:

1. Review the Stress Reponses and Health Promotion Behaviors

2. After reviewing the Stress Responses and Health Promotion Behaviors above, answer the following questions in the threaded discussion:

      1. What lifestyle behaviors do you incorporate to promote health and wellness in your life?
      2. Identify three negative responses to stress from the list that you have experienced. Come up with one or more health promotion behaviors for each of the three negative responses you might use to counteract or change your ineffective stress responses.
      3. Pick a health promoting behavior that is not currently a part of your routine and briefly talk about how you might incorporate it into your life.
