Annular pulleys:each of the four digits have five annular pulleys, thumb has two

On the flexor side, the FDP and FDS enter the metacarpal pulley at the level of the volar plate, and extends to the palmar surface of the distal phalanx. FDS splits into tow slips before being perforated by the FDP tendon

Cruciate ligaments: each of the four digits have three cruciate , thumb has one oblique

Pulleys maintain tendons in proper alignment to the axis of the digit, preventing anterior-posterior and lateral shifts.

Deep tranverse metacarpal ligaments: unite MCP ligaments and holds heads of MCP together
