Origin: Proximal volar and medial surfaces of body of ulna and medial side of coronoid process; interosseous membrane; antebrachial fascia.

Insertion: By 4 tendons to bases of distal phalanges of digits 2-5

Innervation: To slips 1 and 2: Median, C7,8,T1. To slips 3 and 4: ulnar, C7,8, T1.

Action: Flexes DIP joint of digits 2-5; assists in flexion of proximal PIP and MCP joints of digits 2-5; may assist in flexion of wrist.
