Return to the Sensory Profile Summary
What the score means: For Low Registration, a ‘more than others’ score means that the child is missing more stimuli than other children in the same age group. Typically, children ‘seldom’ miss things during everyday life.
Since all the cut scores on the Sensory Profile
are based on the normal bell curve, a ‘probable difference’ score
means that the child misses more stimuli than about 84% of peers, about the
same as 14% of peers and less than 2% of peers. Go to the Bell
Curve illustration to see how this works.
