Epidemiology through CDC

Read these directions first and then follow these steps to complete the assignment. Then look at other areas of interest in the CDC database.

1. At this site, you will be able to read about research conducted by the CDC. Click on a topic that interests you. The Center For Disease Control Home Page
2. Once you have clicked on "The Center for Disease Control Search Page", you can type into the search box to search the word "epidemiology." Epidemiology research is studies of large groups often referred to as populations of patients.  http://www.cdc.gov/search.htm
3. Third, review some Epidemiology research and read the description of the study.
4. Type a few sentences into the course discussion that briefly describes the epidemiology data you read about in your search on CDC internet pages and other things you learned about CDC.  Comment on how useful the CDC research information that the other students report in the discussion will be for you.
