The purpose of this unit is to examine exemplar theories which describe, explain or predict individual, family, or group behaviors/phenomena of relevance to nursing. The theory-research, theory-practice, and theory-education link will be studied. The course objectives which correspond to this unit are:
4. Analyze and critique concepts and theories using designated criteria.
5. Apply selected theories to the analysis of individual, family, and group client systems and their environments.
