The Human Subjects Protection Tutorial will help you understand the history of research ethics, Institutional Review Boards, and Human Subjects Committees.  To complete the Human Subjects Protection Tutorial click on the Web site listed below and follow the directions. List yourself as a member of the School of Nursing when prompted to list your department. Be sure to have an available printer and have it turned on, as you will print your certificate of completion at the end of the tutorial. Provide a copy of your certificate to Dr. Smith as evidence of completion and keep the original copy for yourself. You may bring a copy of the certificate to Dr. Smith' office in 3062 SON Building or you may fax it to 913-588-1660.  If you've already done this tutorial, the university has one on file already, though you should still be able to print out a copy certificate.
