The research article analysis will help you in evaluating research for application in your practice as well as in conducting the research utilization project. Use the guidelines in Chapter 26 of your text (Polit & Beck) to guide your analysis and critique of the assigned research report.  Examine the respective sections of the report based on the questions listed in the inset boxes (e.g., Box 26-5 for Research Design). Some of the questions will not be relevant to the assigned study, so be selective.  Although you may want to answer the pertinent questions on a worksheet as a basis for your written document, your analysis should be an integrated appraisal of each section. Do not submit the specific answers to the questions in Box 26-2 to Box 26-19 as your analysis.  Please send by email attachment to your teacher your written critique of the article below.
