The PURPOSE of Unit 6 is to provide you with information about the importance of communicating research in publications and in presentations. Further, the Unit will assist you with critiquing and utilizing research. Different types of critiques are reviewed, and the critique process for both quantitative and qualitative research is described. Research utilization theories are explored. Last, problems faced in utilizing research are identified, along with ways to resolve these problems.
