The following is a list of lab experiences to develop or increase your advanced role skills. Do not select skills you already have. All skills are to be practiced during the semester. Three (3) labs may be chosen from the following - 1 for each module.
Here are the same guidelines from the syllabus to remind you about what your reports should include:
This course includes 3 laboratory experiences that are self-selected by students. The laboratory hours are designed to enable students to gain experience and skills in a variety of professional advanced practice areas. Below are specifications for the reports:
A one page (12 font) lab report should include integration of at least one outside reference and evidence of an analysis of the topic/skill. Site the reference you use at the bottom of the report also. When your skill activity is in the context of a course-required article or chapter you will need another reference. Each report needs to end with a sentence summarizing the skill you gained relative to advanced practice. Be specific.
Late lab reports, lack of integration of reference reading, absence of the outside reference at the bottom, lack of analysis, and lack of discussion about the topic/skill will result in minus 1/2 point for each.
Due Dates: The 1 page lab report (student-selected) is due (September 15, November 10, and December 8)

10. Interview an officer of a health facility, such as a hospital, that accepts Medicaid reimbursement for patient care.
