The course is divided into four sections; Syllabus, Course Calendar, Discussion and Help. These sections are accessible through the Home Page of the course and other high level pages. Syllabus and Help contain valuable information that will help you successfully complete the course. They should be read before you begin any coursework. All coursework and readings are accessed through the Course Calendar page.

Portions of the course contain hyperlinks (also called links) to information within the course and outside to the World Wide Web. Hyperlinks are indicated by blue underlined text. Some images may also contain links. Links you have visited will be purple instead of blue. You may visit a link as often as you like.

How do I complete the assignments?
Case Studies
It is recommended that you type the case study in a word processing program first and then copy and paste the assignment into the boxes on the case studies pages. Be sure to save a copy of the case study on your computer as sometimes the answers get lost in cyberspace. See the Syllabus for detailed information.
The Threaded Discussion
Threaded discussions allow you to have asynchronous conversations with your classmates and instructor via the web. Detailed information on how to log on to and use the threaded discussion can be found by clicking on the following:
Logging in to WebBoard | Using WebBoard
It is highly recommended that you read both of these before participating in the threaded discussion. It would also be helpful to print both of these to keep on hand as a quick reference.
As with the written assignments, it is best to type your answers in a word processing program first and then copy and paste the responses into the threaded discussion. See the Syllabus for detail information.
If you have used a threaded discussion in one of your other KUMC courses, you do not need to create a new user profile. You can use the profile from the previous course.
How do I access journal articles/supplemental readings?
Journal articles and supplemental readings are password protected due to copyright law. What this means is, you must enter a user name and password to view the readings. The user name and password will be in the threaded discussion.
The journal articles and supplemental readings are in PDF format. You must have Adobe Acrobat to view PDF files. More information about Adobe Acrobat can be seen above.
