Module Objectives

1. Identify the interactive nature of losses with aging and factors that may complicate accurate diagnosis of psychiatric and behavioral disorders in older adults

2. Determine components of a diagnostic work-up

3. Discuss strategies for assisting older adult clients suffering from depression or behavioral disorders including pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic approaches
