Unit 2: Population as Client

Asian Population

Objectives:

  1. Compare and contrast population focused health care with community based health care.
  2. Discuss characteristics of a population based nursing/occupational therapy practice.
  3. Compare and contrast two models of health practice: the dimensions model of community health nursing model and the ecology of  human performance model (EHP).
  4. Use the dimensions model or the EHP model to compare & contrast populations. 
  5. Discuss psychological, social, physical, behavioral, and health system factors that influence individual and group well-being.
  6. Describe the epidemiological process.
  7. Compare and contrast the epidemiologic triangle and the web of causality with regards to disease development.
  8. Compare and contrast epidemiologic research methods.
  9. Describe the benefits of prevention and how the epidemiological process can be used for evaluative purposes.
